Happy October!
If we let commercials and store displays influence us, we'd be getting ready for snow, Christmas trees, and the year's end. Alas, it is only October, and we're doing our best to stay obsessed with the holiday at hand—HALLOWEEN! So, for now, let's enjoy an all-treat-no-trick October at Happy Bakeshop. We'll have some creepy cupcakes, DIY fun, and pre-pie season deals!
Always Trying New Stuff
If you’ve been in the bakery lately, you’ve likely had a chance to sample some of the fun items we try occasionally. Our bakers are so creative, and they cannot help but create new tastes when they have time. Most recently, we've been trying out some MUFFINS! If you’d tried some, let us know what you think. And if you haven’t now is the time - come see us! Stop in and see if you can snag a sample (available while they last) and let us know what you think. Your favorite cupcake bakery could soon become your muffin go-to, adding a new level of excitement to your bakery visits!
Keep an eye on our social media because we’ll try to keep everyone updated. And if you’re in the Highlands, please stop in and ask “what’s new?”
Halloween
Since this special day is all the way at the end of the month, we get to talk about it for at least 30 days. Halloween is on a Thursday this year, so we WILL BE OPEN! Until then, we will happily take your orders for creepy cakes, themed cut sugar cookies, or other fun spooky desserts (SEE: DIY Kits).
We'll have the bakery decked out for Halloween all week. Place your orders anytime, and you'll be all set once the Halloween fun starts. This year, we'll have many Halloween sugar cookies, decorated cupcakes and a few shop cakes to get everyone in the spirit!
DIY Kits
Our DIY Kits are a big hit all year, but never as big as they are around Halloween. Look for Halloween themes and colors to decorate your cookies, cupcakes, or both! Each kit comes with either six cupcakes or eight cookies, frosting & sprinkles in Halloween colors. If trick-or-treating is not for you, but you’re still feeling festive, these kits can turn a regular old day inside into a fun (and delicious) project.
PRO TIP #1: Remember to send us or tag us in pictures of your DIY creations. We love to see it!
PRO TIP #2: If Halloween isn't your thing, don't worry. You can always order a DIY kit without a Halloween theme. We're all about catering to your preferences.
2 for $5 Tuesdays
Looking for a sweet deal? Our 2 for $5 Tuesdays is one of the best in town. Stop by any time, all day on Tuesdays for 2 delicious, made-from-scratch cupcakes for only a C-note. It's perfect for sharing or treating yourself after surviving another Monday.
October has FIVE Tuesdays (10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22 and 10/29), so imagine all the money you can save on cupcakes this month!
Ordering for Holidays
Since we are 30 days closer to the holidays, ordering is worth a mention/reminder. You can always visit our ORDER page to place your order. Please note the lead times we’ll need for what you’re ordering. And, as the holidays get closer, more notice is always better. And if you ever have questions, please call the bakery anytime, and we'd be happy to help you pick out the perfect treats for whatever you have planned.

You can reach our Wedding and Events team if you have some special needs for your big event or wedding. We’d love to help you plan and make your big day or event even more special. They offer some specialized attention and have some pretty great ideas, too!
Pie Season
We like to think we were pioneers in coining the term “Pie Season,” which starts November 1. So, naturally, we can't wait to start talking pies. And, while we're not suggesting the season begin any earlier than November 1, we are extending our early bird pie deal to October 1. Starting October 1, you can order your Thanksgiving Pies and take advantage of the "Buy 2 get the 3rd FREE” offer.
Order your pies before November 15 and receive a FREE PIE*! Pies can be picked up later, closer to Turkey Day, of course.
This year, Thanksgiving is on November 28. We'll be open for pick-up on Wednesday, the 27th. Stay tuned for the exact holiday hours.
